Datagridview cellvalidating not working
Its intuitive dashboards are customizable, so you can create systems that work for you. Unfortunately neither is directly an answer to the problem...in fact they seem to be the reverse of the problem since you are checking for a value in the grid to set the combo when the combo has the correct value and the grid does not :-( Perhaps if I rephrase some of the relevant items from the original question this may make the problem clearer: Hi 13598, I will certainly try it to see if it makes a difference, but it is not appropriate to display a record before the user has started typing or used the mouse to select - the combo should be empty as the starting point of the process, not least because having an empty row is valid in some circumstances.Gets a value indicating whether the caller must call an invoke method when making method calls to the control because the caller is on a different thread than the one the control was created on.(Inherited from Control.)Adjusts the height of the column headers based on changes to the contents of the header in the specified column, optionally calculating the height with the expectation that the column and/or row header widths will subsequently be adjusted.Adjusts the width of the row headers based on changes to the contents of the header in the specified row and using the specified size mode, optionally calculating the width with the expectation that the row and/or column header widths will subsequently be adjusted.
As a result of this other validation fails since it is expecting a value at that point since the content has passed validation.Optionally, invalidates the child controls assigned to the control.(Inherited from Control.) This API supports the product infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.Raises the Invalidated event with a specified region of the control to invalidate.(Inherited from Control.) to a data source and automatically populate it with data. This property returns the new value entered in the cell.If it is less than five characters, you set the Error Text property of that cell to some error message.
If the combo style is Drop Down List it works perfectly, but we then have no option to add to the list which is a requirement.
